FEeling the Love!

I am really feeling the love recently both with my choir, The Lost Sound and from my individual clients and feedback like this is just wonderful to receive.
It’s hard to show feedback via the site, so I thought it might be worth showing some of it for readers and prospective singers.
I had a young semi-pro singer in the studio having some vocal issues and they were clearly very worried. I’ve been doing this work for a very long time now and have a lot of experience locating where the issues seem to sit and I’m glad to say my ears helped them! If we get the basics sorted, often our voices get back into position pretty quickly - why wouldn’t they want to reset into a more comfortable place? The most difficult thing for most singers is changing their mindset and to accept a slightly different - or sometimes very different- sound. It’s ALWAYS better, freer, more resonant and glorious! But our minds have to go with the change. Here the young person got it, felt it and delivered it!
’Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you SO much for all your help yesterday. After our lesson I went on to do an hour and a half rehearsal where I was singing for most of it, and my voice felt smoother, stronger and I could get up to those high notes more easily. It's amazing how much those breathing exercises and just relaxing my tummy and tongue has helped already! Thank you thank you thank you’

On a very different style of singing - I got some lovely feedback from a choir singer. She had a short course of lessons to iron out some technical issue and we got a great result not only vocally but her confidence soared. I received this yesterday:

‘I just wanted to share with you that I took part in a quartet event this weekend. My scratch quartet quartet came 2nd out of 12 groups. I feel that since my lessons with you, my voice has really developed and I cant thank you enough for all your help. I’ve got so much more confidence now.’
I’ll keep adding to this post - I often get verbal feedback but it is lovely when people email me! It’s good to know your job makes a difference!
