SINGING workshop

Come and join Sandra for this fundraiser singing workshop in aid of the wonderful Teignmouth Folk Festival

There is lots going on for the whole weekend - concerts, workshops, dancing displays, jamming sessions - come and join the fun!

Birdhouse singers coaching session - JUNE 2026

Another coaching session with these wonderful, more advanced singers prior to their concerts. They tackle some exciting, big arrangements and work with Sandra for her ‘outside’ ear on blending, vowels and making the most of their unique ensemble. Sandra listens to rehearsal recordings before the coaching session and gives constructive feedback to help them rehearse in different ways to improve the songs BEFORE she gets there.

Part 1 - Women’s singing course October 2026 -

Its very exciting to be running another course for Women. Part 1 went down so well last year, so we are going again! TWO more courses for PART 1 (October 2026 and February 2027)
It is so heartening how many singers are wanting more from their own voices and who also want to give more to their choirs. We will look at breathing and support, (what it is and how to use it!) how to place your voice for more tone and power, how to manage those pesky ‘breaks’ in your range and how to blend your voices in your section and with the choir. that’s quite a lot in 4 sessions!
There has been tremendous feedback with singers repeating the course to re-immerse themselves in the knowledge!

    WOMEN’S 4 WEEK COURSE: PART 1
    SATURDAYS OCTOBER 3rd - 24th 2026 Buckfastleigh £65
    Part 1 is re - running in the Autumn! After two sold out PART 1 courses, we are thrilled to be keeping these valuable singing courses going! They are becoming an essential tool kit for choir singers.
    There’s lots of techniques in breathing and support (what does that even mean?!) as well as showing you ways to get more from your own voice and your groups singing, by increasing blend, vowel matching fine tuning and lots more.

    This course will also run in February 2027 with PART 2 running in MARCH 2027
